The wild boar (Sus scrofa), also known as the wild swine, Eurasian wild pig, or simply wild pig, is a suid native to much of Eurasia, North Africa, and the Greater Sunda Islands. Human intervention has spread its distribution further, making the species one of the widest-ranging mammals in the world, as well as the most widely spread suiform. Its wide range, high numbers, and adaptability mean that it is classified as least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and it has become an invasive species, in part, due to its introduced range. The animal most likely originated in Southeast Asia during the Early Pleistocene and outcompeted other suid species as it spread throughout the Old World.
Wild boar hunts in Macedonia are organized at Jasen (state hunting grounds) and Lakavica.
Wild boar hunts in Serbia are some of the most popular hunts in this region as well as in Europe. Almost every hunting ground has brought in wild boars for this purpose. Both stand and driven hunts can be organized. Wild boars are hunted year-round. The most known places here are Morovic, Karadjordjevo, Plavna, Karakusa and Kamariste.
In Bosnia, the wild boar population is well-dispersed and because of this, boar hunts can be organized almost anywhere in Bosnia. We also organize driven wild boar hunts.
Driven boar hunts can be organized in Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia.
